Dr. Mario R. Delos Reyes


Dr. Delos Reyes was the Program Leader of the research entitled, “Environmental Planning and Governance on Disaster Risk Reduction, Mitigation and Management at Selected Pilot Priority Areas in Laguna de Bay and Manila Bay Regions”. At present, he is the Project Component Leader for the research entitled, “Planning Guidance for Disaster Response and Rehabilitation via Humanitarian Supply Chain Management” of the Philippines’ Department of Science and Technology funded program on “Build Back Better: the Science and Technology of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management”. He is a Senior Planning and Institutional Development Specialist of the UNDP/Department of Environment and Natural Resources focusing on Strategic Environmental Assessment for sectors and local government units policies, plans and programs.

Dr. Delos Reyes research interests and expertise include, climate change and disaster risk reduction and management; infrastructure support to solid waste management; urban and environmental planning and policy; strategic environmental assessment; public-private partnerships for the urban environment; and coastal planning and management
